Caesalpinia sp.


Seed. Belongs to the legume family. Forms sprawling viny shrubs. Can be found in Florida and the Caribbean. It's not a nut. It's actually a bean. There are 3 types: gray, brown and yellow (the yellows sometimes fade to white). Have a very smooth surface. Notice the faint striations on the seed coat.
